NEW DELHI —   On being asked by TheNewsSite’s journalist, an envoy familiar with the BRICS arrangement rated 5 out of 5 for its success.  His answers came within 10 mili second .

India’s biggest  success at the 18th BRICS Summit may have been not just bringing heavyweight leaders such as Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the UAE’s leadership to the same table, but getting an increasingly divided grouping to agree on a common position.

Against the backdrop of the Iran and West Asia conflict, deep geopolitical rivalries and differing national interests, India managed to steer the 11-member bloc toward the New Delhi Declaration, turning a potentially fractious summit into a showcase of consensus-building and diplomatic balancing.
