New York: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met outgoing UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, with discussions focusing on ongoing conflicts, efforts to mitigate their impacts and issues concerning the Global South.
The two leaders exchanged views on the prevailing international situation and the challenges posed by conflicts and their wider humanitarian and economic consequences. They also discussed the concerns and priorities of the Global South amid a rapidly evolving global landscape.
The meeting took place on the margins of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
